Why Sign Up?The Triple-E Challenge provides the opportunity to push yourself physically, emotionally and spiritually, and also to see how far you can go in terms of some serious sponsorship.

This is a fundraising trip like no other. Think Indiana Jones meets Jeremy Clarkson meets Moshe Dayan.

You’ll find yourself, and you’ll find yourself doing things you never thought you would or could. You’ll be sharing those experiences with others seeking the same thrills and challenges.

And you’ll be doing all this to help our children in Israel.

Emunah cares for some of the most disadvantaged children in Israel through our many projects around the country. The Neve Landy Children’s Village in Even Shmuel is a haven for some of the most disturbed youngsters in society, who have suffered from emotional and physical abuse and serious neglect. These children cannot be integrated into our existing homes or mainstream education because of their aggressive and abusive behaviour and need a far more individualistic and specialised approach. It is at Neve Landy that they receive all the care and treatment they need to be rehabilitated back into society.

At present there are 48 children in the Village, which is under the expert guidance of the Director Noam Wisper. He is beginning to see the fruits of his team’s hard work as many of the children are showing a rapid improvement in their behaviour as they start along the road to rehabilitation. The work Noam is doing with the children is so successful that the Village is often visited by social care workers from across the country, as it is a model that is being used for other centres.

This £2 million centre was built in 2003 entirely from funds raised through British Emunah, and we send over £50,000 a year to the village to maintain the buildings and help towards the therapies and activities there. However Noam is constantly asking for more therapists and counsellors to expand the facilities available and we hope, with your help, to be able to double our funding for his vital work with these children, some of whom you will meet at the start of the expedition.

Sederot is a town that has hardly been out of the news this past year and Emunah is there helping families cope with the daily trauma of living under constant rocket attacks. This year we opened The Sarah Ronson Crisis and Intervention Centre which provides vital counselling and therapy for the affected families in this beleaguered town. We have just been asked by the social services of the town to set up and run a 24 hour hot line and there is a desperate need for extra counsellors, psychologists and therapies, all of which will add an additional £100,000 to the annual running costs of the centre. Funds raised through the expedition will go towards this centre which has become a lifeline for Sederot’s citizens.

Over the past 75 years EMUNAH has built up enormous experience in the provision of social welfare services and family care in Israel. Today, we are one of the main social welfare organisations in Israel with a network of services throughout the country including day care centres, kindergartens, residential homes and high schools. In all our centres the intake is a mixture of religious and non-religious children who are nurtured in an environment based on traditional Jewish values. In Israel’s 60th Anniversary year EMUNAH was awarded the prestigious Israel Prize for exceptional contribution to Israeli society, and we are rightly proud of our achievements. Thank you for taking part in this challenge which will raise funds to enable us to continue our vital work …..we couldn’t do it without your support!

Your support is vital. What more rewarding way is there than the Triple E Challenge to change so many lives for the better.... including your own?
